The 2017 is being an year full of activities for the PAL researchers!

In the first months we have worked hard in order to improve the PAL System on the basis of the suggestions gained in the activities with children and families held last year. Then in May we have launched a new PAL group of activities to test the implementations and to collect users’ feedbacks in order to be able to finalise the project in 2018.

30 children between 8 and 12 years old in Italy and in the Netherlands, their parents and healthcare professionals decided to take part to this experience, that lasted till July and children had the possibility to meet the robot 3 times at the hospitals and to use the MyPAL app at home for three months!

A second group of activities has been done during the summer and autumn camps organized by the diabetes associations partners of the PAL consortium for children between 8 and 14 years. In Italy the activities were focused on collecting the requirements for the last component of the system to be implemented: PAL Inform, dedicated to the parents. In the Netherland, instead, the camp was centered around child-robot interaction activities, in order to collect new ideas for the PAL System.

We’re currently working on the results…follow us to discover what we find :)!
