On February 2019, the European project PAL completed its cycle and reached its official ending.

The project, which overall aim was to develop a Personal Assistant for healthy Lifestyle (PAL) that will assist the child, health professional and parent to advance the self-management of children with type 1 diabetes aged 7 – 14, was ongoing since February 2015 and it had a duration of 4 years.

“The best part of this project has been the human interaction and cooperation.

We have been supported by experts, like nurses and pediatrician, but also from families and children that contributed creating the PAL System.”

The whole PAL team including the research PARTNERS TNO (coordinator), DFKI, FCSR, Imperial and Delft University of Technology, next to end-users (the hospitals Gelderse Vallei and Meander Medical Center, and the Diabetics Associations of Netherlands and Italy), and SMEs (Mixel and Produxi) would like to thank everyone that believed in the project!

We would like to thank each and every one of you for helping to create such a satisfying and pleasant work environment!
